The City of Aspen is seeking an experienced Hockey Official to help provide a safe environment for adult hockey games. This intermittent, part‑time role offers flexible scheduling and requires adherence to USA Hockey rules.

Requires high school diploma/GED, USA Hockey Official Certification, and a Colorado driver’s license. The position is under 29 hours weekly and includes evenings and weekends based on programming.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Email.
• Must possess USA Hockey Officials Certification.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Criminal Background Check required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Call penalties and violations per USA Hockey rules to ensure player safety.
• Monitor behavior and actions of participants on and off the ice.
• Inspect ice surface, goals, nets and dasher boards for safety.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
