Qualifications

  • ICC certification for concrete, masonry, post tension, steel & welding, including S1 and S2.
  • Experience reading plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Understanding of construction safety, quality control, and general contract management.

Overview

E2 is hiring an ICC Inspector. The successful candidate should be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of reinforced concrete and masonry structures. The candidate must be able to read and understand structural blue prints and current code requirements. Duties include maintenance of proper and complete files of field and laboratory data, reports, letters, RFI's, and other pertinent field data as well as clear communications with the Project Manager and the client's representatives are required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that concrete construction is installed according to plans and specifications.

  • Reviewing plans and specifications.
  • Inspecting concrete construction during preplacement, placement, and post-placement.
  • Collecting material samples and performing tests.
  • Writing and submitting reports to the building official, contractor, and/or registered design professional.
Qualifications
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience coordinating / inspecting concrete, masonry, post tension, steel & welding for construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors and inspectors across disciplines.
  • ICC certification for concrete, masonry, post tension, steel & welding, including S1 and S2.
  • Experience reading plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Understanding of construction safety, quality control, and general contract management.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Hourly rate for this position is $66.96/hour. The starting rate will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Construction Sites and/or Client Right-of-Way (R.O.W.).
  • Client testing facility (occasionally).
  • Corporate office (occasionally).
  • May require extensive driving to reach job sites and/or client/E2 offices.
  • Frequent ascending and descending of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms up in and out of pipeline bell-hole / trench / excavation.
  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection of construction crew quality of work; using measuring devices; and/or assembly of fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Able to perform in both inside and outside environmental conditions in all four seasons throughout the continental United States - extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit) and/or extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit) for periods of more than one hour.

May require extensive driving to reach job sites and/or client/E2 offices.
