Job summary

Probity is seeking a Quality Assurance professional in Chantilly, VA who will develop and execute test plans, coordinate integration testing, and document results. The role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph and proven experience collaborating with developers to resolve defects.

Qualifications

• Experience developing repeatable test procedures, executing test scripts and documenting results.
• Must be comfortable working with software developers to identify and resolve defects.
• Ensure new applications and software modifications meet requirements and operate satisfactorily in the system environment.
• Documented experience meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, user stories and related artifacts, and translating these into test plans and well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Development and presentation of technical documentation, test cases, test reports, test data sets and other briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed.
• Participating in the team's Agile software development process and adhering to all reporting requirements.
• Working with other enterprise service programs and other test teams to coordinate integration testing of their capabilities that will be consumed in the final system implementation.
• Experience documenting the successes and failures of all executed test procedures in Sponsor's issue tracking software

Position Description

Develops and implements quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develops and executes software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Establishes and maintains a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation. Conducts and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.

Required Technical Skills:

• Documented experience working with GitHub, JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience testing web-based applications developed using technologies such as: Java or J2EE
• Demonstrated on-the-job test automation or software development experience with at least two automated test tool (Selenium web driver preferred, similar tools accepted).
