Job summary

Ida Claire in Dallas, TX is seeking enthusiastic servers for a Southern-inspired, high-volume dining setting. You will provide friendly, knowledgeable service and maintain cleanliness and guest awareness throughout each shift.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, entering them into the POS, delivering food and beverages, stocking stations, and collaborating with the team to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Current Food Handler certification and Responsible Alcohol Service certification, or ability to obtain both within the required timeframe.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, upscale, or full-service restaurant environment preferred.

Position Summary

The Server provides friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and hospitable service of food and beverage in accordance with established quality and timing standards. Servers are expected to maintain a high level of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest awareness throughout every shift.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, prepared and ready to work.
• Maintain proper uniform standards at all times while in work areas.
• Accurately enter all food and beverage orders into the restaurant's POS system.
• Stock and replenish service stations as needed, including polished silverware and glassware.
• Assist guests with questions about the menu and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Continually develop and maintain knowledge of the food, liquor, beer, and wine menus.
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
• Execute proper food and beverage delivery, placement, and removal at all tables.
• Consistently pre-bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant—not just within your assigned station.
• Communicate guest concerns, questions, and operational issues to the management team in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers, support staff, and management to provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Perform appropriate opening and closing duties, including disassembling, cleaning, and sanitizing workstations after each shift.
• Set up and prepare the restaurant and service team for the next shift's success.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and follow all regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
• Participate in continuing education, training, and development opportunities.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the food and beverage menus, as well as a strong understanding of host and support-staff procedures.
• Maintain assigned tables and proactively assist guests throughout their visit, ensuring the highest quality dining experience possible.
• Support the overall team and restaurant by stepping outside of your assigned station when needed.

Qualifications
