Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking an IC&E Specialist to support instrumentation, electrical, and control services in the Bakken asset. You will program, execute, troubleshoot, and tune PLCs and PID loops while collaborating with engineering to upgrade programs and maintain safety standards.

The role is located near Watford City or New Town, ND, requiring field work, climbing ladders, and high physical demands. A strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams.
• Experience applying results from electrical measurement instruments (volt/meter, ammeter, oscilloscope).
• Basic knowledge of the National Electric Codes.
• Proficiency with SCADA and PLC hardware and logic.
• Ability to climb ladders/stoops and lift up to 50 pounds; work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Comply with DOT/OSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Tune and troubleshoot PID loops and field instrumentation.
• Collaborate with engineering to plan and execute program changes/upgrades.
• Support commissioning and project documentation; maintain records.
