Your role and responsibilities

IBM has openings for QA/Test Engineer interns in our Z Engineering System Test organization to test and provide customer support for hardware and firmware that make up our industry-leading IBM products. We are an elite team of engineering professionals that pioneer innovations for the cutting-edge microprocessors and hardware used in IBM Z Systems. Test Engineers participate in various aspects of the test and support process such as but not limited to

Assist in the testing of mainframe hardware components including processors, memory modules, and I/O systems
Collaborate with firmware and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
Help diagnose and resolve hardware issues through testing, debugging, and failure analysis
Support lab testing efforts, including hardware bring-up, functional verification, and environmental testing
Contribute to technical documentation for procedures, and test results
Designing and implementing test automation to deliver test cases into automated regression buckets
