Qualifications

• Five years of mainframe operator experience
• Experience in operating IBM System p-Series/z-Series platforms
• Experience in automation of system monitoring and maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of ITM System Monitoring or similar role
• Bachelor's degree in IT-related field or equivalent in mainframe operations

Responsibilities

• Start and stop system tasks and monitor consoles to ensure health and normal operation
• Coordinate with system programmers and production control analyst for proper action
• Perform orderly shutdown and startup of the system and workloads as required
• Manage restart operations for major subsystems like transaction processing, databases and OS
