Job summary

UPMC Central PA seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist with a strong interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join our Digestive Disorders program. This outpatient-focused role emphasizes building long-term patient relationships and delivering high-quality IBD care.

You will manage Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis patients, with access to a robust multidisciplinary team including colorectal surgery, nutrition, radiology, and infusion services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required and board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• IBD experience or strong clinical interest preferred.
• Patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Primarily outpatient practice with a focus on IBD care.
• Manage Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis patients, including biologics.
• Collaborate with colorectal surgery, nutrition, radiology, and infusion services.
• Minimal inpatient responsibilities with hospital-based support.
• Leverage established referral base and streamlined care pathways.
• Shape the role around clinical interests.
