The International School of Portland seeks an experienced Elementary Music Teacher to deliver engaging music lessons across PreK–5. You will develop theory, aural skills, and practical techniques while collaborating with the current Music and Performing Arts Specialist to create age-appropriate, inquiry-based instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Elementary Teaching/Education or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of professional music teaching experience.
• Proficient in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments.
• Proven expertise in music instruction.
• Committed to international-mindedness and cross-cultural understanding.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create inclusive, supportive music curriculum for PreK–5.
• Develop IB PYP-aligned music units and inquiry-based programs.
• Manage music resources and budgets for the department.
• Maintain instruments and teaching materials.
