Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, an employee-owned federal contractor in Arlington, VA, seeks a senior program manager to lead major analytical tasks in ballistic missile defense and related areas. You will coordinate, plan, and execute complex defense programs with senior stakeholders.

The role requires a Master’s degree, 15+ years of experience managing large DoD projects, active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a technical or management discipline is required.
• At least fifteen (15) years of professional experience, including ten (10) years managing complex DoW projects.
• Knowledge of the Joint Staff’s Capability requirements process.
• Security clearance: Active TS, SCI, and SAP eligible.
• US Citizenship Required.

• Support the branch chief to organize, coordinate, plan, and execute activities for major analytical tasks in Ballistic missile defense, Cruise missile defense, Hypersonic missile defense, and related areas.
• Assign, schedule, and provide configuration control and quality assurance of deliverables; adjust project organization for effective support.
• Ensure conformance to task specifications and major analytical task provisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the relevant branch chief to organize, coordinate, plan, and execute activities which support major analytical tasks in Ballistic missile defense Cruise missile defense Hypersonic missile defense Counter uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) Counter rocket, artillery, mortar Defense against aviation (including fixed wing and rotorcraft) Space-based effects Passive defense.
• Responsible for assigning, scheduling, and providing configuration control and quality assurance of deliverables; Establishing and altering project organization to provide effective support to major analytical tasks.
• Responsible for ensuring conformance to task specifications and major analytical task provisions.

• At least fifteen (15) years of professional experience, including ten (10) years managing complex DoW projects involving a large number of people in subordinate groups.
• Knowledge of the Joint Staff’s Capability requirements process.
• Security clearance: Active TS, SCI, and SAP eligible.
• US Citizenship Required.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $180,000.00/Yr. - USD $230,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
