Job summary

RL Canning is seeking an experienced IAM SailPoint Engineer to design, develop, and support IGA platforms including SailPoint ISC. The role focuses on complex integrations, automation, and secure identity architecture across a healthcare environment.

You will partner with IAM leadership, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver scalable identity solutions that align with HIPAA, NIST, and Zero Trust requirements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience engineering or developing IGA solutions.
  • Strong experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud and/or IdentityIQ.
  • Experience writing SailPoint Rules (BeanShell/Java) and building custom workflows.
  • Experience with SCIM, REST APIs, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC integrations.
  • Understanding of identity lifecycle management, RBAC/ABAC, SoD.
  • Experience with AD, Entra ID, LDAP, HRIS and cloud identity platforms.
  • Ability to work in a complex, healthcare environment and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SailPoint rules (Before/After provisioning, etc).
  • Build provisioning workflows and identity orchestration.
  • Engineer and maintain custom connectors and integrations.
  • Develop SailPoint transforms, policies, and processing logic.
  • Troubleshoot provisioning, aggregation, and connector failures.
  • Create automation scripts for identity lifecycle operations.
  • Provide API-based automation for data exchange and workflows.
  • Maintain version-controlled code and secure development practices.
  • Engineer identity integrations with AD, Entra ID, LDAP, cloud platforms.
  • Support federation, SSO, MFA, and authentication architecture.

Job Overview

RL Canning is seeking an experienced IAM SailPoint Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for the design, development, customization, and advanced technical support of Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms, including SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC). The engineer will build and maintain complex integrations, develop automation, engineer SailPoint rules and workflows, and ensure a scalable, secure identity architecture across the enterprise. This role partners closely with IAM leadership, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver modern identity solutions aligned with HIPAA, NIST, Zero Trust, and internal governance requirements.

The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $140,000.000 to $150,000.00 per year W2, along with a comprehensive benefits package detailed in the "Benefits Offered" section of the job description. The salary wage offered within this range will be influenced by factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In this role, you will

  • Design, develop, and maintain SailPoint Rules (Before/After Provisioning, Aggregation, Correlation, Custom Workflows).
  • Build and optimize complex provisioning workflows, lifecycle event logic, and identity orchestration.
  • Engineer and maintain custom connectors, integration logic, and advanced SailPoint configurations.
  • Develop custom SailPoint transforms, policies, and identity processing logic.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting of provisioning, aggregation, and connector failures.
  • Build scripts to support identity lifecycle operations, data cleanup, and system integrations.
  • Create API based automation for identity data exchange and workflow optimization.
  • Maintain version-controlled code repositories and follow secure development practices.
  • Engineer identity integrations with Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, and cloud identity platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex directory synchronization issues, attribute conflicts, and provisioning logic.
  • Engineer cloud identity governance for Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
  • Support identity federation, SSO, MFA, and authentication architecture.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to support and achieve business objectives.

For this role, you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience engineering or developing IGA solutions.
  • Strong experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud and/or IdentityIQ.
  • Demonstrated experience writing SailPoint Rules (BeanShell/Java) and building custom workflows.
  • Experience engineering integrations using SCIM, REST APIs, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC.
  • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, RBAC/ABAC, SoD, and identity architecture.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, HRIS systems, and cloud identity platforms.
  • Ability to work in a complex, unionized healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client projects and corporate responsibilities.
