Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a physician for a pulmonary/critical care assignment in Iowa. Typical duties include outpatient pulmonary clinics, inpatient consults, and critical care management with vent support.

Expect bronchoscopy involvement, potential lines and ventilator management, and night call as part of a balanced schedule. Travel, housing, and malpractice coverage are provided, with ongoing extension potential and 24/7 consultant access.

Qualifications

• MD/DO licensed to practice in the United States.
• Experience in pulmonary and critical care settings preferred.
• Familiarity with bronchoscopy and ventilator management beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pulmonary care and inpatient consults.
• Manage critical care cases and ventilator support.
• Perform bronchoscopy-related procedures as needed.
• Coordinate care across VA hospital and other sites.

• Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4:30 pm plus night call
• ~10 clinic patients per day; ~15 procedures per week
• VA hospital -- open on federal holidays
• Mix of outpatient pulm, inpatient consults, and critical care
• Lines, bronchs, and vent management required
• Ongoing coverage potential with extension possibility
