Westlake Chemical Corporation in Louisiana is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to perform preventive and repair maintenance on facility equipment in a safe, economical, and environmentally sound manner.
You will calibrate, repair and integrity-check process instrumentation and electrical equipment, implement a preventative and predictive maintenance schedule, and support production and engineering with technical expertise. Strong safety culture is essential.

Provide the instrumentation and electrical knowledge and skills to perform the preventive and repair maintenance to the facility equipment in a safe, economical and environmentally sound manner.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat/bend, push/pull; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working inside, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE and safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harness, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs. Travel may occasionally be required.
