Job summary

Caliberr Staffing is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to support conveyor systems and plant equipment in an indoor/outdoor industrial manufacturing environment. You will maintain instrumentation, sensors, electrical hardware, and process controls, ensuring continuous operation and safety compliance.

The role requires the ability to calibrate sensors, troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems, and read complex schematics.

Qualifications

• Experience reading technical manuals and troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to calibrate a wide range of sensors and detectors.
• Experience using electrical and electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, and relays.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with PLCs, electrical systems, and controls.
• Plan the details of assigned maintenance and repair work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, complex drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltmeters, multimeters, and high- and low-voltage detectors.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based process control systems, I/O devices, and industrial Ethernet communications.
• Troubleshoot intelligent motor starters and their communication modules.
• Troubleshoot VFDs and soft starters.

Position Overview

The I&E Technician helps keep conveyor systems and plant equipment running by maintaining instrumentation, sensors, electrical hardware, and process controls. This role works in an industrial manufacturing environment, both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, and relays.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and controls.
• Plan the details of assigned maintenance and repair work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, complex drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltmeters, multimeters, and high- and low-voltage detectors.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based process control systems, analog and discrete input/output devices, and industrial Ethernet communications.
• Troubleshoot intelligent motor starters and their communication modules.
• Troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters.
