Job summary

Qualifications

What's the role

Accountabilities:

• Troubleshooting DCS (Digital Control System) control interfaces; level, flow, and pressure measurement equipment; vibration measurement instrumentation; low, medium, and high voltage equipment; and power generation and distribution equipment


• Read and understand piping/instrument and electrical drawings of instrumentation, control, power, and metering circuitry


• Remove, repair, maintain, and test emergency shutdown valves and control valves


• Understanding of proper application of pressure-rated piping/tubing fittings associated with various equipment (manual sample stations, control valves, instrumentation, etc.)


• Diagnose and apply results using various test equipment


• Apply Electrical Safety Rules in accordance with site and OSHA standards


• Record work history and submit feedback for continuous improvement of maintenance plans, policies, and procedures


• Troubleshoot and repair instrument or electrical systems


• Perform routine installation and calibration of instrument or electrical systems


• Ability to perform reactive or preventative maintenance of instrument or electrical systems and components

Work Schedule

9/80 base work schedule with varied schedules depending on worksite demand

Certain plant conditions will require night shift, weekends, and holidays (turnarounds, outages, major plant activities, production support, etc.)

What We Need From You

• Must be willing to respond to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site, or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance


• Willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends and overtime supporting run and maintain schedules, holdovers, outages, turnarounds, etc.


• Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies


• As a part of the pre-employment selection process, candidates are required to submit to and receive satisfactory results from all pre-employment background, medical, and reference checks, including hair & fluid (saliva or urine) drug testing

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Instrumentation or Electrical craft disciplines


• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance


• Completion of a Military Maintenance School program


• Experience troubleshooting and operating Process Control Systems (PCS) or Distributed Control Systems (DCS); experience with Emerson DeltaV


• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting process instrumentation, including pressure, flow, temperature, custody transfer, and weighing systems


• Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire and gas detection systems; Det-Tronics experience
