Job summary

Island Operating Company seeks an experienced I&E/Gas Management Foreman to support land-based oil & gas production in Karnes County, Texas. The role demands hands-on I&E, gas measurement, and controls expertise working in the field with production personnel and third-party vendors.

Qualified candidates will troubleshoot instrumentation, PLCs, meters, and related systems, while coordinating meter proving, calibration, and documentation. Rotation is to be determined.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on I&E and/or gas measurement experience in land-based oil & gas production.
• Strong instrumentation, electrical, controls, gas measurement, and troubleshooting background.
• Experience with meter proving/proofing and associated reporting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation, electrical systems, controls, and field devices.
• Coordinate gas measurement and meter-related activities; supervise 3rd-party proofing.
• Lead field activities while following safe work practices (LOTO, JSA, permit-to-work).

Job description

Island Operating is seeking an experienced I&E / Gas Management Foreman to support land-based oil and gas production operations in Karnes County, Texas.

Qualified candidates must have a strong hands-on background in I&E, controls, and gas measurement within land-based oil and gas production facilities.

Responsibilities & Experience

• Troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation, electrical systems, controls, and field devices
• Work with pressure, level, and flow instrumentation, transmitters, control valves, and switches
• Troubleshoot PLC/control systems, electrical circuits, motors, and VFDs
• Perform calibrations, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs
• Oversee and coordinate gas measurement and meter-related activities
• Coordinate and perform 3rd-party meter proofing and review/complete proofing reports
• Troubleshoot measurement issues and verify meters and associated instrumentation are operating accurately
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and equipment documentation
• Coordinate I&E and gas management activities with production personnel and third-party vendors
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, measurement, and proofing documentation
• Lead field activities while following LOTO, JSA, permit-to-work, and other safe work practices

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on I&E and/or gas measurement experience in land-based oil & gas production
• Previous lead or foreman experience preferred
• Strong instrumentation, electrical, controls, gas measurement, and troubleshooting background
• Experience with meter proving/proofing and associated reporting
• Experience working around active oil and gas production facilities
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently in the field
