Job summary

Brunel Energy is seeking an I&E Construction Superintendent to oversee electrical and instrumentation construction activities on a major oil and gas project in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The role requires strong leadership of field crews and contractors to meet schedule and safety targets during execution.

The successful candidate will coordinate with multi-discipline teams, manage completions, and ensure readiness for commissioning and turnover while traveling domestically and overseas as required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years construction superintendent experience preferred; 5+ years considered
• Experience leading contractor teams on major capital projects
• Experience with industrial control systems, ABB DCS environments
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee electrical and instrumentation construction activities
• Lead E&I contractors and field crews, ensuring work is performed safely and to spec
• Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Manage field crews and oversee earthwork equipment operation
• Coordinate materials, contractor activities, field meetings, and day-to-day construction execution
• Oversee cable pulls, circuit installations, I/O checks, transmitters, probes, analyzers, controllers, and instrumentation systems
• Execute projects within contracted schedule and budget with multi-discipline teams
• Manage system completions and readiness for commissioning and turnover
• Respond to field and client information requests
• Promote worker safety programs
• Oversee contractor fabrication, construction, and hookup activities during the Execution Phase
• Serve as a member of the Project Team when assigned
• Maintain communication between field operations and the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead

Brunel Energy is recruiting an I&E Construction Superintendent to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Kemmerer, WY. This position offers per-diem for non-locals.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee electrical and instrumentation construction activities throughout project execution
• Lead E&I contractors and field crews, ensuring work is executed safely and in accordance with project requirements
• Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Manage field crews and oversee the operation and maintenance of earthwork equipment
• Coordinate materials, contractor activities, field meetings, and day-to-day construction execution
• Oversee cable pulls, circuit installations, I/O checks, transmitters, probes, analyzers, controllers, and instrumentation systems
• Execute projects within contracted schedule and budget while working with multi-discipline engineering teams to monitor and control scope, schedule, and budget
• Manage system completions and ensure readiness for commissioning and turnover
• Respond to field and client information requests and help resolve construction issues
• Promote worker safety programs and ensure compliance with safe work practices
• Oversee contractor fabrication, construction, and hookup activities during the Execution Phase
• Serve as a member of the Project Team (PT) when assigned
• Maintain effective communication between field operations and the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead

Qualifications:

• Strong electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction experience
• Experience in field construction planning, execution, and completions
• Demonstrated experience leading contractor teams; 10+ years preferred, with 5+ years considered
• Past Construction Superintendent experience on major capital projects
• Experience with industrial control systems, including ABB DCS environments
• Ability to oversee large-scale construction scopes, including approximately 300 miles of cable installation
• Familiarity with Construction Materials Testing procedures and ASTM standards
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or overseas to project sites
