A Superintendent – Maintenance I&C / I&C Maintenance Superintendent is required for a leadership role within a nuclear power generation maintenance environment. This position will suit an experienced maintenance leader with a strong background in instrumentation and controls, work management, outage support, technical programs and safe execution within a regulated industrial or nuclear setting.
The I&C Maintenance Superintendent will lead maintenance activities across instrumentation and controls, ensuring work is planned, delivered and assessed safely, cost-effectively and in line with technical, quality and regulatory requirements.

Superintendent – Maintenance I&C / I&C Maintenance Superintendent Role:
- Lead and oversee work activities within the Instruments and Controls maintenance function.
- Ensure maintenance work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with technical specifications, quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support planning and scheduling activity by applying field knowledge, maintenance experience and resource awareness.
- Manage production and outage maintenance efforts by assigning responsibility through functional area supervisors.
- Oversee surveillance testing, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, planned maintenance and corrective maintenance across plant systems and components.
- Support maintenance modifications, procurement documentation, maintenance procedures and safety compliance.
- Set goals, develop supervisors and technicians, provide performance feedback and support career guidance.
- Contribute to budget planning, expenditure oversight and corrective action activity within the maintenance department.
Superintendent – Maintenance I&C / I&C Maintenance Superintendent Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Seven years of responsible nuclear power plant experience or applicable industrial experience.
- At least one year of nuclear power plant experience.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance programs, work activities, procedures and plant systems.
- Experience with planning, scheduling, information management systems and man-hour estimating.
- Knowledge of labour agreements and administration requirements.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing, craft knowledge, electrical codes, pressure vessel codes and piping codes.
- Must live within 55 minutes of the site and be able to qualify for emergency response organisation duties.
- BS in Engineering or a technical discipline.
- Senior Reactor Operator License or U.S. Navy equivalent.
- Experience managing a fluctuating resource pool and developing work strategies that support cost control.
- Knowledge of nuclear training and certification programs.
