Job summary

Is International is seeking an I&C Engineer II to support the design, specification, procurement, and documentation of instrumentation and control systems for large frame gas turbines and related balance‑of‑plant systems. This role emphasizes execution, technical accuracy and collaboration across project teams.

This role focuses on defining instrumentation scope, preparing RFQs, reviewing vendor quotations, and maintaining instrument lists and drawings to ensure compliant, on‑time project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Typically 3–6 years of I&C experience in power generation or similar.
• Working knowledge of gas turbine instrumentation and balance-of-plant systems.
• Familiarity with control systems such as Netmation, MK5/MK6, T3000, Ovation, DeltaV, SIMATIC.
• SPI or similar tools experience preferred.
• Understanding of instrumentation devices (pressure, temperature, level, flow, vibration).
• Basic understanding of I/O systems, wiring, and signal interfaces.
• Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them to designs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 5-10%.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, ownership.
• Review customer contract requirements and support instrumentation scope definition.
• Develop and maintain instrumentation procurement schedules.
• Prepare technical specifications and RFQs.
• Review and validate vendor quotations for compliance.
• Verify instrumentation against P&IDs and develop instrument indexes/lists.
• Create and maintain instrument loops, datasheets, and drawings.
• Provide design input documentation for I/O list development.
• Support resolution of customer comments on drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (design, operations, procurement, sales).
• Interface with clients, suppliers, and contractors to support project execution.
• Support development and maintenance of I&C procedures and checklists.
• Assist with troubleshooting at project sites.
• Ensure compliance with ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, AGA standards.
