Job summary

NECI seeks an I&C Engineer to blend control panel design with field engineering. Youll support instrumentation and electrical systems and coordinate with customers on DCS/PLC projects in dynamic industrial environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, 3 years of related experience, knowledge of electrical principles, schematics, NEC/UL standards, and CAD tools. On-site position in the United States with strong team collaboration and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 3 years in related engineering field.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and process control theory.
  • Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams experience.
  • UL 508A design enclosures and SCCR components.
  • Grounding, labeling, wiring compliance NEC/UL 508A/IEC ISA.
  • Sensor types: thermocouples, RTDs, pressure/flow sensors.
  • Proficient CAD: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Electrical/EPLAN.

Responsibilities

  • Design and specify instrumentation control panels and materials based on customer needs.
  • Perform control system startups, loop checks, commissioning and generate documentation punch lists.
  • Troubleshoot analog/ discrete signals and protocols such as HART, Fieldbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus.
  • Manage electrical installation vendors, review submittals and execute FAT for green or brownfield installations.
  • Perform PLC & DCS system physical layer troubleshooting.
  • Support Front End Engineering and Design studies.
  • Support sales proposals, estimates, walkdowns, scoping BOM generation.
  • Ensure uncompromising quality and safety; authority to halt work if compromised.
  • Travel 30-75% within New England; lift up to 50 lbs.

The Role

What Youll Bring

Compensation

This position offers a base salary range of 87000 to 102000 based on level of previous experience In addition hired applicants will be eligible for a variable incentive plan The posted salary range represents a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience skills qualifications internal equity and business needs

On Site Requirements

This position requires a full on site presence 5 days per week during the first 46 months Following that period the role will be on site four days per week including Monday Wednesday and Thursday with the fourth on site day alternating between Tuesday or Friday depending on business needs Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
