Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Start Specialist for Port Arthur LNG commissioning and startup. You will provide specialist input, planning, and coordination across CSU activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely startup of the LNG facility.

The role requires extensive experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning, with strong ability to read drawings and troubleshoot complex systems. On-site work in Port Arthur, TX with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor''s degree (or international equivalent) and extensive relevant experience.
• Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and operations.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics, instrumentation sketches, isometrics and loop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge and expertise for CSU (e.g., commissioning and startup activities).

Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG is a proposed natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Southeast Texas with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. At peak construction, the project expects to create over 5,000 jobs. At full capacity, this LNG project will include two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing, under optimal conditions, up to approximately 13.5 million tons per annum for export around the world.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide knowledge, expertise, input, training, and consultative support for a discipline or process required for facility commissioning and startup. You will participate in work planning and packaging, turnover coordination, material management and quantities, quality control, and environmental safety and health. You will be an essential resource for specialized technical advice.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, subject matter, or specialized process required for CSU (e.g., chemical cleaning, steam & air blowing, meter and relay testing, process operations, nuclear HVAC systems, complex analytical instrumentation such as CEMS, ICs, etc. Work Planning & Packaging Analyzes assigned activities to determine the scope, time, and resource requirements. Plans and schedules CSU execution activities including sequence and resource requirements for assigned areas of responsibility typically including complex evolution across multiple disciplines and functions Turnover Coordination. Participates in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns for assign areas of responsibility. Interfaces with the Field Engineer as required to support component/system turnover Material Mgmt. & Quantities. Initiates requisitions for field purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. Tracks field purchases and other purchases required for CSU using procurement systems or other database programs as required. Quality Control Assists other Start Specialists in interpreting design information, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements . Performs and/or monitors testing of equipment to assure conformance with specifications and compliance with test procedures, that work methods are undertaken safely and activities are supported to meet schedule and cost ES&H. Identifies and resolves/elevates ES&H issues in the field and is a visible 'walk the talk' leader in good ES&H practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in Pre-commissioning, commissioning, initial Startup and Operations. Cause and Effect testing. Ability to read various drawings (electrical schematics, Instrumentation sketches, Isometrics, Loop drawings) Strong fault finding abilities. Effective Communication and leadership skills.
