Job summary

BD is seeking a manufacturing operator at its USA NE - Columbus facility. The role focuses on operating equipment, performing quality checks, and executing changeovers while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

With emphasis on teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to train others, the candidate will participate in continuous operations and data entries in SAP and MES systems. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred or two years manufacturing experience.
• Manufacturing experience and MES exposure preferred.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and use basic measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and produce quality products per documentation.
• Perform quality checks and changeovers; enter SAP data.
• Maintain GMP standards and clean room practices.
• Cross-train within the department to support the business.
• Participate in blitz teams as assigned.
• Assist with line clearance and cleaning.

Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for operating equipment in department safely and producing quality products per documentation. Perform quality checks, changeovers, SAP data entries, and basic troubleshooting. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing
• Perform visual inspections
• Perform basic troubleshootingofequipment
• Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning
• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
• Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks
• Perform rework
• Cross train where needed within the department to support the business
• Maintainall quality and GMP standards
• Perform needed SAP data entries
• May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges
• Participate on blitz teams as assigned
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, twoyearsmanufacturing experience is required

Experience

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous experience with MES preferred
• Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred
