Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking an experienced Aerodynamics Engineer to analyze the aerodynamic capabilities of precision engagement weapon systems. You will work on advanced projects supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, utilizing expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel testing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in conducting CFD simulations, running wind tunnel tests, or analyzing and developing aerodynamic models.
  • Able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Predict aerodynamic characteristics of air-vehicle configurations.
  • Plan and conduct wind tunnel tests and perform post-test analysis.
  • Craft reports and presentations to communicate results.
