Job summary

CU Boulder’s Center for National Security Initiatives is seeking a Research Associate in Computational Analysis of Hypersonic Systems. You will help build a nationally recognized program focused on hypersonic vehicle performance and related DoD/IC opportunities, collaborating within a multi-disciplinary NSI team.

The role requires developing sponsored research proposals, leading technical tasks, and coordinating across departments.

Qualifications

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a field relevant to the given focus area.
• Minimum of three years of experience in Academia, Aerospace/Defense Industry, or Government in a research role.
• Proven expertise in development and application of research in the focus area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute research proposals, key research tasks, and deliverables for DoD, IC, and aerospace customers.
• Develop a nationally recognized research program in National Security that strategically supports NSI and CU Boulder.
• Provide technical leadership of research projects and coordinate across academic departments and research groups.
