Job summary

STRATOLAUNCH HUNTSVILLE is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead ~40% of the development effort for an operational missile system. You will drive multidisciplinary projects through design, manufacturing, and testing, coordinating with prime contractors, government agencies, and partners.

The role demands extensive aerospace program management, risk oversight, and executive communication, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a senior- or principal-level leadership role in aerospace/defense/high-technology sectors.
• Ability to make tough decisions in a technical environment.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex multidisciplinary programs.
• Experience with subcontractors, procurement, and program leadership across design, manufacture and testing.

Responsibilities

• Act as Program Manager and single point of contact to prime organization.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and testing to develop a new missile system.
• Manage cost, schedule, technical performance, risk, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee forecast, budgeting, and financial reporting for multiple projects.
• Negotiate complex contracts and maintain executive-level customer relationships.
