Job summary

Hayden Industrial is seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead to oversee Final Assembly and Bundle Assembly operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time production by interpreting blueprints and coordinating with QA, Eng, and Logistics.

The role requires 3–5 years in mechanical manufacturing with leadership experience and hands-on skills with tools and measurement equipment. Full-time on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade cert preferred.
• 3–5 years mechanical/manufacturing assembly experience, preferably in heat exchangers or pressure equipment.
• Leadership/supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of the Final Assembly and Bundle Assembly teams to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and provide on-the-job training and guidance to assembly technicians.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and engineering specifications.
• Interpret and communicate blueprints, work instructions, and bill of materials to assembly personnel.
• Verify assembly alignment, fit, and torque requirements for tube bundles, frames, and final product configurations.
• Oversee installation of finned tubes, tube sheets, headers, gaskets, and other components as part of the final build process.
• Inspect and sign off on completed assemblies prior to quality control review or shipment.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Maintain accurate production records, time tracking, and material usage reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead. The Assembly Team Lead will oversee daily operations of the assembly teams responsible for completing and finalizing heat exchanger bundles and related components. This role ensures that all assembly activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules. Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing assembly, preferably in heat exchangers or pressure equipment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
• Skilled in using hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and measuring equipment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and lead a diverse production team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Supervisor Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator, when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
