Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Hyperbaric Support Tech in California to perform administrative, clinical, and chamber-related duties ensuring safe, quality patient care under HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires EMT California certification, BLS, and completion of an introductory hyperbaric medicine course. Prior patient care or chamber experience is preferred; join a unionized environment with defined shifts and patient-focused service.

Qualifications

• Completion of Introductory Hyperbaric Medicine Training Course approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) California Certification - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians - REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Document pre- and post-treatment patient assessments and enter data per department guidelines.
• Set up and operate hyperbaric chamber equipment and monitor for safety during treatment.
• Educate patients about HBOT procedures and provide excellent patient service.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and report status changes to the RN and provider as needed.
