Job summary

Strategic Operations, Inc. (STOPS) is seeking a Set Decorator/Buyer to source, purchase, and coordinate set dressing and décor for immersive training environments that support the creative vision and production requirements.

You will work with Production, Design, and other stakeholders to develop realistic environments while adhering to approved budgets and schedules. The role involves researching furnishings, preparing drawings and mood boards, and ensuring on-time delivery and installation.

Qualifications

• Direct, relevant work experience in set decoration, set dressing, interior design, or production design.
• Ability to work within budgets and production schedules.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review scripts, briefs, and budgets to determine set decoration needs.
• Develop set decoration concepts that support the creative vision and period location.
• Source furniture, artwork, lighting fixtures, and other decorative elements.
• Coordinate delivery, staging, installation, and removal of set dressing.
