Chestnut Dental Associates in Needham, MA is seeking a friendly Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric-friendly, patient-focused team. The position offers full-time or part-time hours and a competitive hourly wage, plus generous sign-on bonuses and performance-based bonuses.

You will perform scaling, prophylaxis, digital x-rays (DEXIS), and educate patients and parents while maintaining a clean, compliant clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Hepatitis vaccination is recommended.
• Continuing education requirements fulfilled.

Position Summary

The Dental Hygienist performs dental hygiene duties to promote quality dental care in a stress-free, safe, and welcoming environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Scaling
• Prophylaxis
• Digital x-rays (DEXIS)
• Provides dental education to parents and patients.
• Additional responsibilities may include stocking and maintaining equipment and inventory and supporting overall clinical operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Hepatitis vaccination recommended
• Continuing education requirements fulfilled
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends

• Adheres to all Chestnut Dental Associates policies and procedures as outlined in the CDA Employee Handbook

• Maintains a friendly, professional attitude and works well with children in a pediatric setting

• Works well with interruptions and manages multiple priorities efficiently, completing tasks in a timely manner while staying on schedule
• Performs effectively under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Exhibits professional behavior and maintains respectful relationships with doctors, administrators, supervisors, colleagues, patients, and outside representatives
• Speaks, understands, and writes fluent English

Physical Requirements

Must be able to withstand extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and adequate vision are required.
