Job summary

Lane & Associates Family Dentistry in Middlesex, NC is hiring a Dental Hygienist. You will join a compassionate team providing preventive care, patient education, and comprehensive periodontal support. Under general supervision, you’ll partner with the dentist and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a dental hygiene program with CEU certifications.
  • Active state licensure in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Ability to lift 15–20 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, disinfect, and fully stock the treatment room for each appointment.
  • Update patient health histories, take blood pressure, and gather visit information.
  • Educate patients about oral health needs, treatment options, and long-term outcomes.
  • Provide Soft Tissue Management and customize home-care plans for periodontal patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain clean, organized treatment and lab areas.
  • Document patient conditions, histories, treatment notes, and patient feedback.
  • Perform hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, polishing, and fluoride applications.
  • Oversee non-surgical periodontal therapy programs.
  • Expose digital radiographs.
  • Lead the preventive maintenance program with the hygiene assistant on recalls.
  • Maintain inventory control in hygiene rooms.
  • Sharpen and sterilize periodontal instruments.
  • Work independently with routine tasks and follow OSHA safety policies.
  • Support the office by helping earn 5-star Google reviews through exceptional patient experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Perform hygiene treatment procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, coronal polishing, and fluoride applications.


  • Manage and oversee non-surgical periodontal therapy programs.


  • Expose digital radiographs.


  • Lead the preventive maintenance program and partner with the hygiene assistant on recall systems.


  • Maintain inventory control in hygiene rooms.


  • Sharpen and sterilize periodontal instruments.


  • Work independently with recurring and routine tasks.


  • Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.


  • Support the office by helping earn 5-star Google reviews through exceptional patient experiences.

Job Requirements
