ProGrin Dental in Greer, SC is seeking a friendly Hygiene Assistant to support our clinical team and deliver outstanding patient experiences from check-in to check-out. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist hygienists, take and process X-rays as allowed, sterilize instruments, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Customer-service oriented and able to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create an exceptional experience from start to finish.
• Prepare and stock treatment rooms for each patient.
• Assist hygienists during patient care as needed.
• Take and process dental radiographs according to state rules.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Set up and break down rooms between patients.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support the clinical team to ensure smooth scheduling.

What You'll Do

Patient Care & Clinical Support

• Welcome patients and help create an exceptional experience from start to finish.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for each patient.
• Assist hygienists during patient care as needed.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by state regulations.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms between patients.
• Maintain dental equipment and supplies.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
• Assist with patient flow to help keep the schedule running efficiently.
• Support the clinical team wherever needed to create an outstanding patient experience.

• Have dental assisting experience or are eager to start a career in dentistry (experience preferred but not always required).
