Heartland Dental’s Compass Creek office is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support our hygiene team in delivering excellent patient care. This entry-level role offers extensive on-the-job training and clear career development within a world-class network.

You will work with our experienced hygienists, gain hands-on chairside experience, and contribute to a patient-first culture that emphasizes learning and teamwork. This position offers a path to growth within Heartland Dental.

Qualifications

• On the job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, maintaining patient comfort and providing education.
• Review the patient’s health history to ensure quality care.
• Assist hygienists during a wide range of procedures in accordance with state practice acts.
• Set up rooms for all hygiene visits, including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Collaborate with providers and team to optimize office workflow.

More About The Role

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, as well as sustain patient comfort and provide appropriate education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act.
• Assist with setting up rooms for all hygiene visits including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations
• Partner with the providers and team to follow office systems and maximize office workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

• The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Physical Requirements:
