Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute day-to-day operations of the departments under supervision; optimize staff hours and assets.
  • Proactively manage business and provide management feedback on critical issues.
  • Ensure safety, quality, training and standards for company and clients.
  • Perform weekly field audits on each crew and inspections of equipment daily.
  • Complete all paperwork required by company and clients.
  • Develop leadership and maintain a motivated, multi-functional workforce.
  • Ensure fleet policies are followed and vehicle utilization is optimized.
  • Order and track materials and supplies for day-to-day tasks.
  • Keep yard/storage areas organized daily.
  • Participate in industry forums to stay current with direction and technology.
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, safety, quality, and cost.
  • Mentor, coach, and discipline department employees to improve performance.

Position Title: Hydrovac Operations Supervisor

Essential Functions:

We seek a detail-oriented, thorough, organized Supervisor to join our growing team. You will be responsible for interaction with the utility owner, General Contractor, and customers through all phases of main and/or service utility installation. This position is also responsible for all the necessary documentation (work orders completion, sketches, daily timecards, etc.). This person will anticipate internal and external customer needs and position the department to uphold the corporate vision, mission, and values. This person will be accountable for attaining organizational goals and objectives, deploying, and implementing corporate policies. Establish and maintains excellent customer relationships with all clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing the day-to-day operations of the departments under his/her supervision. Optimizing and actively managing the work hours of employees and assets of the company
  • Proactively manages the business and provide feedback Management on critical issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, training and standards of the company and each individual client are met.
  • Responsible for performing weekly field audits on each crew, multiple audits each week.
  • Responsible for inspecting equipment and tools daily for each crew and to ensure the proper walk around is being performed daily.
  • Responsible for the daily completion of all the necessary paperwork required by the company and clients.
  • Develops leadership, selects, and maintains a multi-functional, diversified, well-trained, motivated, and empowered workforce.
  • Administers compliance of fleet policies and procedures. Provides leadership to optimize vehicle utilization and minimize life cycle cost.
  • Responsible for ordering and tracking all materials and supplies needed to perform day-to-day task.
  • Responsible for keeping the yard/material storage areas clear and organized on the daily basis.
  • Participates in industry/professional forums to stay abreast of industry direction and new technologies.
  • Delivers continuous Improvement in productivity, safety, quality, and cost.
  • Proficient in the successful mentoring, coaching and discipline of department employees for the improvement of performance and preparation of additional responsibilities.

Experience and Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • Previous Experience overseeing multiple crewsThree to Five (3-5) years in the Underground Utility Industry
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
