Job summary

Pro-Vac is seeking a Vac-Truck Operator to join our team in New York. You will drive and operate Vac-Truck equipment on diverse job sites, delivering environmental services with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will need a valid CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements, be capable of handling physical tasks, and have a customer-service mindset to build relationships with communities and clients. Training is provided, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Class A or Class B CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements.
• Strong customer service orientation and self-motivation.
• Experience operating vac-trucks or similar heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vac-Truck safely and efficiently on varied job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, and follow safety protocols.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights
• Standing and moving for extended periods; operating vehicles across varied terrain
• Perceiving auditory safety signals, verbal warnings, and radio communications in active field environments
• Wearing all required PPE including OSHA-compliant respirators, hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, and safety footwear
• Reading site documentation and accurately operating equipment controls
• Working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and wet conditions
• Maintaining situational awareness around active traffic, heavy machinery, and underground utilities
• Working in confined spaces per applicable safety protocols
