Job summary

Costy's Energy Services is seeking an experienced Hydro-Vac Operator to lead and supervise field crews in Hydro-Excavation, cleaning, and related services across Western PA, WV, and OH. The role requires operating Hydro-Vac trucks, ensuring safety, and maintaining performance standards.

Ideal candidates bring CDL-B with Tanker Endorsement, 1+ years of driving and equipment operation, and leadership experience. Overtime and weekend work are required in a dynamic, field-based environment.

Qualifications

• CDL-B with Tanker Endorsement is required.
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience is required.
• 1+ years of Hydro-Vac or heavy equipment operation experience is preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in field operations is preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Hydro-Excavation processes and oil & gas site operations.
• Ability to train, coach, and manage crews while maintaining efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and instruct crews in Hydro-Excavation, pit cleaning, tank cleaning, and other Oil & Gas-related services.
• Operate Hydro-Vac trucks to perform non-destructive excavation, fluid removal, and site cleaning tasks.
• Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols, company procedures, and regulatory guidelines (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
• Train and develop crew members, ensuring competency in equipment operation and job execution.
• Communicate effectively with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams to coordinate job requirements and expectations.
• Conduct pre- and post-job inspections of equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Maintain accurate records, including job logs, reports, and crew performance evaluations.
• Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
• Be available for long shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
