Role Description

The Hydrovac Operator is a full-time, on-site role located in Monroe, LA. This role is responsible for operating Hydrovac trucks and equipment to perform non-destructive excavation and daylighting of underground utilities. Day-to-day tasks include setting up work sites, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, safely operating high-pressure water and vacuum systems, and following all safety and environmental protocols. The operator will complete required documentation, communicate with site supervisors and crew members, and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order. The role may involve working in varying weather conditions, extended hours, and travel between job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating heavy equipment or commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of Hydrovac or vacuum truck operations, non-destructive excavation, and basic underground utility practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, including adherence to PPE requirements, site safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, maps, and instructions, and to complete accurate job-related paperwork.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a must.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in outdoor conditions.
• Reliable communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow direction and collaborate with crew members and supervisors.
• Previous experience in industrial services, construction, oil and gas, or related fields is preferred but not required.
