Job summary

ANDRITZ HYDRO USAa seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Charlotte, NC for in-office work with extensive travel. The role focuses on inspecting parts and assemblies, documenting quality records, and supporting welding and hydro components in field and shop settings.

Requirements include a BS in engineering (or equivalent) and at least 2 years in hydropower or industrial construction, with NDT/NDE experience. CWI or ASME/AWS knowledge is a plus; travel up to 90% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent with 2+ years hydropower/industrial experience.
• NDt/NDE technical experience; CWI or qualification for ASME/AWS codes is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% for inspections and field support.

Responsibilities

• Inspects parts, assemblies and finished products per contract specifications.
• Prepare and maintain quality records and inspection reports.
• Provide technical support to field service and engineering staff on welding and hydro components.
• Investigate root causes of non-conformances and document outcomes.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
