Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is hiring for a role operating a solution-extraction plant. Under supervision, you will run SX equipment, monitor processes, collect samples, and adjust flows to maintain performance.

The position requires knowledge of hydromet processing, leach flow sheets, and shut-down/start-up procedures. You will train others and participate in safety and maintenance activities in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Hydromet processing operations.
• Knowledge of solution-extraction and leach flow sheets.
• Familiarity with shut-down/start-up procedures and electrolyte transfer systems.
• Understanding of pipelines and valve systems.
• Academic and practical competencies demonstrated, with possible written assessment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor processing equipment in a SX plant.
• Collect and analyze plant samples and adjust flows as needed.
• Perform maintenance and support supervisor duties as required.
• Train and mentor fellow employees and ensure area housekeeping.
• Operate associated mobile equipment and follow safety protocols.
