Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.

  • Must pass E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • 1-year probationary period will be required; continued employment subject to agency needs and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex problem solving in their area of expertise with minimal guidance.
  • Create and/or maintain tip sheets and Standard Operating Procedures for identified areas.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and conduct QA testing including calibration, aquifer tests, geophysical logs and related tasks.
  • Ensure hydrologic data and documents are evaluated and stored in archives, databases, spreadsheets, and graphics software per USGS policies.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and servicing of sensing and recording equipment, using electronics and computer skills.
