Qualifications

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays to meet shift/on-call requirements.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations).
  • Knowledge in the proper methods of locking out and isolating equipment.
  • Ability to use computers-knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude.
  • Qualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferred.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, start-up and shutdown Hydrogen Plant.
  • Monitor and guide pipelines for continuous supply and quality control.
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation; support gasses.
  • Foster a secure environment on the plant site for personnel and contractor safety.
  • Participate in On-call rotation, and support and coordinate operational activities of the plant outside business hours and on weekends.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing liquid product loads.
  • Log all daily plant activities and complete daily/monthly paperwork.
  • Ensure proper operation of all plant machinery and instrumentation; report maintenance needs.

Hydrogen Production Technician (Open)

Location: Dallas, TX - 13140 TI Blvd

Carrier gases - On-site - ASU - TIB Air Liquide Electronics innovative electronic materials respond to increasingly challenging customer demands for improved mobility, connectivity, computing power and energy consumption. The TI BLVD Gas Plant Hydrogen production technician is responsible for the operation of the hydrogen plant. They are to ensure continuous customer supply without interruption. At Air Liquide, we RESPECT, HONOR and VALUE diversity.

Pay: $32.00-$34.00 per hour

Carrier Gas Operations provides on-site air separation units producing nitrogen and oxygen gas production with best-in-class safety, reliability, flexibility and total cost of operation to our semiconductor manufacturing customers. Also supplying cost effective high purity bulk gas.

Responsibilities
  • Work together to achieve zero personal first aids/injuries
  • Comply with all Air Liquide Policies & Procedures
  • Comply with Safe Work Permit Process including preparing Pre-Job Plans, executing LOTOs, hot work safety, and confined space safety
  • Participate in On-call rotation, and support and coordinate operational activities of the plant outside business hours and on weekends
  • Operate, start-up and shutdown Hydrogen Plant
  • Monitor and guide all pipelines for continuous supply, including the plants and continuous quality control
  • Operation of pipeline backup system
  • Maintain product inventory levels
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing liquid product loads
  • Monitor machinery for proper operation and report discrepancies
  • Maintain and calibrate assigned analytical instrumentation, including maintaining support gasses
  • Foster a secure environment on the plant site for plant personnel and contractor safety
  • Perform water treatment tests, and maintain chemical inventory to ensure proper chemical balance for cooling towers
  • Switch to back up systems or shut down plants during emergencies
  • Communicate with TI if a notification is required to TI/ALEUS LP Bulk Gas Notification Procedure
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S duties in assigned areas
  • Log all daily plant activities
  • Fill and analyze customer product trailers and issue certificates of analysis, and complete all daily/monthly paperwork
  • Compliance with all pipeline specifications
  • Ensure proper operation of all plant machinery and instrumentation, and report maintenance requests if abnormal operation occurs
  • Enhance and sustain plant production
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Air Liquide in absence of management for internal and external customer needs
  • Contribute to projects and tasks assigned by Air Liquide Management
  • Identify potential maintenance needs; enter them into the work order maintenance management system (Maximo)
  • Perform operations PM’s (Maximo)

  • Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothing
