Job summary

Messer North America, Inc. is seeking a Hydrogen Fueling Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of our hydrogen fueling stations and customer supply facilities in accordance with regulations.

You will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance and support shutdowns/startups of H2 fueling systems. The role requires basic math, computer proficiency, and the ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, and man-lift.

Qualifications

  • HSD with a certificate in a technical discipline OR an Associates degree OR recent military training in a technical field is required.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Industrial plant operations/maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Apply the Hazardous Work Permit (HWP) process, Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) and energy isolation procedures
  • Participate in safety committee activities
  • Maintain site security and orderliness
  • Perform safety indoctrinations for contractors
  • Direct and monitor contractors
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP)
  • Document activities and data in plant logbook and SAP system
  • Follow EMOC procedures for changes to plant equipment, processes and procedures
  • Perform analyzer calibrations on product delivery systems
  • Lead shutdowns and start-ups of H2 fueling systems
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment problems and identify equipment needing maintenance
  • Complete all training activities on schedule and meet annual goals
  • Availability for call-in duty and overtime

Job description

As a Hydrogen Fueling Technician, you will execute principal responsibilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our hydrogen fueling stations and customer supply facilities in accordance with local and national regulations and standards. You will also execute maintenance activities (preventive, corrective and predictive).

  • Complete all training activities according to schedule and meet annual performance goals
  • Availability for call-in duty and overtime

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to do bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting activities as well as carry loads up to 50 pounds
  • Basic math, computer proficiency, and ability to work with simple mechanic's hand tools
  • Capable of operating a forklift, overhead crane, and/or man lift.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HSD with a certificate in a technical discipline OR an Associates degree, Or recent military training in a technical field is required Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an industrial plant in the operations or maintenance department is preferable

The salary range for this position is $35.00 - $47.00.
