Job summary

Air Products is seeking an Operations Technician for our LaPorte, TX HyCO3 facility. You will operate a highly automated hydrogen and carbon monoxide production plant, performing field and control room tasks to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with process technology education a plus, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including holidays. You will join a safety-focused, collaborative team and contribute to maintenance, testing, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Process Technology certificate or degree is a plus.
• Background in industrial gas, refining, or petrochemical facilities.
• Proficiency in reading piping and instrumentation schematics.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill both outside and inside operations tasks to ensure safe, compliant operation of the facility.
• Issue Safety Work Permits, perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and supervise field contractors.
• Follow Site Work Instructions and EH&S standards.
• Collaborate with engineering to solve plant process issues and improve efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Conduct water treatment tests for boiler and cooling water systems.
• Maintain training program requirements and certifications.
