WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Hydroelectric Construction Manager to oversee turbine and generator projects in Georgetown, CO. As the owner's representative, you'll ensure compliance with safety and project standards.

Your role will involve daily oversight of contractors and managing project schedules. A strong background in hydroelectric power generation and turbine maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with turbine and generator disassembly, overhaul, repair, refurbishment, installation, reassembly, or major maintenance work.
• Working knowledge of hydroelectric turbines, generators, and related mechanical and electrical systems.

About the role:

Georgetown, CO

We are looking for an experienced Hydroelectric Construction Manager to provide owner-side construction management and field oversight for turbine, generator, and associated infrastructure projects at a hydroelectric generating facility. As the owner's primary field representative, you will oversee contractor activities, coordinate with project team members, and ensure that you implement work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily field oversight of EPC contractors, specialty contractors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee hydro turbine and generator activities, including equipment removal, disassembly, inspection, refurbishment, repair, installation, alignment, reassembly, and testing.
• Monitor construction work for compliance with drawings, specifications, contracts, approved work plans, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Oversee major equipment installation and removal, structural work, concrete activities, rigging, lifting operations, demolition, temporary works, and supporting electrical scopes.
• Evaluate interfaces between turbines, generators, shafts, bearings, governors, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Coordinate construction activities among contractors, project management, engineering, operations, safety, quality, and commissioning teams.
• Track and resolve RFIs, deficiencies, inspection requirements, field changes, and construction-related issues.
• Participate in inspections, testing, hold points, equipment installation verification, alignment checks, and turnover activities.
• Monitor contractor staffing, productivity, sequencing, and progress against project schedules.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in hydroelectric power-generation construction, maintenance, major projects, or equipment overhauls.
• Working knowledge of hydroelectric turbines, generators, and related mechanical and electrical systems.
• 1+ years of experience with turbine and generator disassembly, overhaul, repair, refurbishment, installation, reassembly, or major maintenance work.
• Knowledge of major hydro generating-unit components, including turbines, generators, shafts, bearings, governors, lubrication systems, cooling systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
