Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking civil engineers to join our hydroelectric team in Portland, Oregon. The role covers design, construction, and project management across six states, with opportunities in dam rehabilitation and fish passage.

The position supports Engineer II or Senior Engineer paths, offering mentorship, field work, and collaboration with national experts across disciplines like structural, geotechnical, hydrology, and hydraulics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Significant experience in civil infrastructure projects, especially heavy civil.
• Ability to manage timelines and budgets under pressure.
• Strong communication with regulatory agencies (e.g., FERC).
• Experience mentoring junior engineers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil capital improvement projects.
• Perform field inspections on hydroelectric projects in remote locations.
• Communicate technical information to regulators.
• Design and evaluate systems to meet company objectives.
• Develop engineering studies, plans and calculations.
