Overview
The Hydroblasting Operator performs a wide range of physical tasks requiring strength, flexibility, and the ability to handle, position, move, and manipulate equipment and materials. Responsibilities include emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation, and high‑pressure water blasting.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment, such as high‑pressure pumps, in‑service line hydro‑blasting, and vacuum, in accordance with operational training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Work safely around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and high‑elevation industrial settings.
- Manually clean, install, fit, and repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other equipment on tanks.
- Assist in inspecting equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area before starting any job, and notify the supervisor of any deficiencies that could cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
Requirements
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work for extended periods within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments, and at high elevation.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures and to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle up to 50 lb hoses.
