Turner Industries is seeking a Hydroblasting Crew Leader to direct abrasive-laden blasting operations and ensure safety and quality in Texas-area sites. The role requires overseeing crews, managing equipment usage, and enforcing client safety standards.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of experience, and TWIC/NCCER credentials where required. Candidates must pass pre-employment tests and drug screens, and comply with PPE and Hazard Communication

• Basic knowledge of hydro blasting equipment and the hazards associated with it.
• NCCER certifications may be required at some jobsites.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Client safety requirements: PPE and attire.
• Safety equipment as required by client.

Responsibilities

• Moves controls to adjust pressure and concentration of grit to obtain specified finish.
• Wears gloves and a helmet/hood to protect against breathing sand-laden air and to prevent eye/hand injury.
• May mask areas not being sandblasted.
• May order materials as needed.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Turner Specialty Services is looking for a Hydroblasting Crew Leader to join our team in the Texas area. The Hydroblaster position involves directing blasts of abrasive-laden compressed air or water from a nozzle against metal or hard composite objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart an even finish.

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
