Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is hiring a laborer to operate a vacuum truck in a utility construction setting. Under the Foreman, you will perform general labor at the worksite and assist with equipment maintenance and utility locating.

Requirements include 18+ years old, U.S. work authorization, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Class A CDL. Prior vacuum truck experience is required; DOT paperwork may apply. Competitive benefits and paid time off are included.

• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Class A CDL is required.
• Previous experience operating vacuum truck is required.
• Ability to differentiate underground utility locate color codes.

Responsibilities

• Operates a vacuum truck in a safe and productive manner.
• Assists in maintaining onsite equipment.
• Maintains tools.
• Hand digs to locate utilities.
• Maintains daily inspection logs and graph logs.
• Loads and unloads equipment from trailers.
• Performs ground restoration.
• Performs general clean up.

What You’ll Do

• Operates a vacuum truck in a safe and productive manner
• Assists in maintaining onsite equipment
• Maintains tools
• Hand digs to locate utilities
• Maintains daily inspection logs and graph logs
• Loads and unloads equipment from trailers
• Pot holes utilities
• Knows all utilities and obstructions in work area
• Loads and unloads supplies
• Performs ground restoration
• Performs general clean up
• Maintains and properly documents DOT paperwork if applicable
• Provides accurate daily timekeeping
• Participates in weekly “Tool Box” meetings
• Performs the duties of a laborer as needed
• All other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Class A CDL is required
• Previous experience operating vacuum truck is required
• Ability to differentiate underground utility locate color codes.

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse
