Job summary

Westerman, Inc., a multi-site manufacturer of production and storage equipment for the oil, gas, and nuclear industries, seeks a Hydro Technician to join the Casper, WY JW Williams facility.

You will bolt flanges, insert plugs on ASME code and non-code vessels, and fill units with water for hydrostatic testing. The role requires precise handling, adherence to quality policies, and clear documentation of test results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of physical steel properties.
• Basic knowledge of quality control and cylinder processes.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
• Ability to use common hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
• Accurately prepares and secures parts or cylinders for hydrostatic testing.
• Understands and follows the quality policies and procedures.
• Ensures complete and correct setup of the system to be tested.
• Bolts flanges to unit and fills unit with water for testing purposes.
• Produces and verifies accuracy of test charts and other documentation.
• Completes all paperwork required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
