Job summary

Smith Industrial Services is seeking a Technician in the Municipal department to safely perform hydro excavation and sewer cleaning, including vacuum hose operation. You will load/unload equipment, maintain machinery, and support crew leaders in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of physical work experience, and the ability to pass a drug test and background checks. Travel may be required and safety training is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years physical work experience; industrial or construction experience preferred.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum truck and related functions (wet/dry).
• Perform sewer cleaning including camera video operations.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Perform general maintenance on machinery, vehicles, and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and attend required training.
• Travel as required.
