Job summary

USA DeBusk is seeking a Hydro Blast Technician in Owensboro, KY. You will operate high-pressure cleaning equipment, support site remediation, and ensure safe operations in a heavy-industrial setting.

Role requires physical stamina, ability to lift, and adherence to safety procedures; drug screen and TWIC are noted requirements. Prior hydro blasting experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• TWIC credential; if recently applied, a receipt suffices for interview.
• Driver's license or State ID is required.
• Must be able to pass hair follicle and urine drug screens.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic Safety Training Skills are required.
• Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• General labor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps and vacuum systems.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE as required.
• Work safely around heavy machinery in loud industrial environments.
• Assist in inspection of equipment and report deficiencies to supervisor.

Summary/Objective:

The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
• Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• TWIC - if recently applied or it, a receipt will suffice for interview purposes.
• Driver’s license or State issued I.D. - MUST BE VALID.
• Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
• Understand and follows verbal and written instructions.
• Basic Safety Training Skills.
• Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• General labor experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
• Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
